Installation
Wispli is available for Windows and macOS. Follow the instructions below to install.
Download
Visit wispli.com to download the latest version.

Windows Installation
- Download the installer (
Wispli-Setup.exe) - Run the installer
- Follow the setup wizard
- Launch Wispli from the Start menu or desktop shortcut
TIP
If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, click "More info" then "Run anyway". This happens because the app is new and building reputation.
macOS Installation
- Download the disk image (
Wispli.dmg) - Open the downloaded file
- Drag Wispli to the Applications folder
- Launch from Applications or Spotlight
TIP
If macOS shows "app cannot be opened", right-click the app and select "Open", then click "Open" in the dialog.
First Launch Setup
When you first launch Wispli, you'll need to:
1. Grant Microphone Permission
Wispli needs access to your microphone for voice input.
- Windows: Click "Allow" when prompted
- macOS: Go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy → Microphone → Enable Wispli
2. Configure API Key (Optional)
By default, Wispli uses our proxy server for transcription. For unlimited usage or offline mode, you can add your own Groq API key:
- Get a free API key from console.groq.com
- Open Wispli Settings → General
- Enter your API key
3. Set Your Language
- Open Settings → General
- Click on Language
- Select your preferred input language
Verify Installation
Test that everything works:
- Press
Ctrl + Space(Windows) orCmd + Space(macOS) - Say "Hello, this is a test"
- Release the shortcut
- You should see your transcribed text

Updating Wispli
Wispli checks for updates automatically. When an update is available:
- You'll see a notification in the app
- Click "Update Now" to download and install
- Restart Wispli to complete the update
Uninstalling
Windows
- Open Settings → Apps
- Find "Wispli"
- Click "Uninstall"
macOS
- Open Applications folder
- Drag Wispli to Trash
- Empty Trash
