Installation

Wispli is available for Windows and macOS. Follow the instructions below to install.

Download

Visit wispli.com to download the latest version.

Platform	Download	Requirements
Windows	Download .exe	Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
macOS	Download .dmg	macOS 11+ (Big Sur or later)

Windows Installation

1. Download the installer (Wispli-Setup.exe)
2. Run the installer
3. Follow the setup wizard
4. Launch Wispli from the Start menu or desktop shortcut

TIP

If Windows SmartScreen shows a warning, click "More info" then "Run anyway". This happens because the app is new and building reputation.

macOS Installation

1. Download the disk image (Wispli.dmg)
2. Open the downloaded file
3. Drag Wispli to the Applications folder
4. Launch from Applications or Spotlight

TIP

If macOS shows "app cannot be opened", right-click the app and select "Open", then click "Open" in the dialog.

First Launch Setup

When you first launch Wispli, you'll need to:

1. Grant Microphone Permission

Wispli needs access to your microphone for voice input.

• Windows: Click "Allow" when prompted
• macOS: Go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy → Microphone → Enable Wispli

2. Configure API Key (Optional)

By default, Wispli uses our proxy server for transcription. For unlimited usage or offline mode, you can add your own Groq API key:

1. Get a free API key from console.groq.com
2. Open Wispli Settings → General
3. Enter your API key

3. Set Your Language

1. Open Settings → General
2. Click on Language
3. Select your preferred input language

Verify Installation

Test that everything works:

1. Press Ctrl + Space (Windows) or Cmd + Space (macOS)
2. Say "Hello, this is a test"
3. Release the shortcut
4. You should see your transcribed text

Updating Wispli

Wispli checks for updates automatically. When an update is available:

1. You'll see a notification in the app
2. Click "Update Now" to download and install
3. Restart Wispli to complete the update

Uninstalling

Windows

1. Open Settings → Apps
2. Find "Wispli"
3. Click "Uninstall"

macOS

1. Open Applications folder
2. Drag Wispli to Trash
3. Empty Trash
